Normalite Walkway Pavers Project

The Normalite Walkway Pavers Project received its initial boost as a result of Alabama A&M University’s participation in the Home Depot HBCU Retool Your School challenge. As the winner of a $50,000 campus beautification grant, the University quadrangle, also known as “The Quad,” was able to undergo renovation. Included in the renovation, and to encourage participation from University supporters, were brick pavers that would line the quad walkway. Those pavers became available for purchase and personal engravement.

AAMU family and friends still have the opportunity to make themselves, or a loved one, a permanent part of the Normalite Walkway by purchasing a paver. Pavers can be engraved with names, graduation dates, class years, or other important bits of information. Contributions made to purchase pavers are tax-deductible, and the proceeds from paver sales will be used to fund scholarships for deserving students.

Project coordinators have called the project an opportunity to support the University and to become an integral part of the University’s history. If you’d like to be remembered among AAMU history makers, consider purchasing your personalized paver.
